Since leaving House's team, Cameron has been far more authoritative with House, bringing him cases and pointing out how his quick diagnoses have been wrong. However, it appears she may be getting more authority over House, primarily due to her excellent administrative skills, honed by years of doing House's dictation and keeping up his charts. When questioned initially, House told Cameron that he hired her for her looks. However, he expanded on that by admitting that he surmised that because she was so good looking, she could have coasted into any sort of life and instead must have chosen to dedicate her life to medicine. House is very reluctant to talk about the incident which damaged his leg and can be easily offended when it is brought up.

However, in the process, Cameron questions her commitment to both Chase and House and leaves them both. This is the last season to feature Jennifer Morrison's name in the opening credits and Cameron's regular appearance in the series. She would later appear on a guest-star role in the episode Lockdown, and re-appear much later in the last episode of the series. After this major change, the opening sequence was changed when Season 7 started.

They become engaged in the Season 5 episode Saviors (the episode immediately following Kutner's suicide) and are married in the season finale. Season 6 (2009–

In one case, after a newborn stops breathing, the case ends in the baby living but the mother dying because she refused a critical operation for her child. After Hadley leaves, Cuddy pressures House to take on another fellow, who is Martha M. Masters, a third-year med student who is something of a child prodigy, graduating high school at fifteen and being about three years younger than any of her peers. When a patient comes in displaying smallpox symptoms, House risks his life to save the patient, but fails to save the dad who suffers from the same disease, but saves his original patient. As Cuddy and House's relationship advances, Cuddy's mother is in town, and he, Cuddy, her mother (Arlene) and Wilson eat dinner, during which House drugs Wilson and Arlene. House also mentions that his relationship with Cuddy was making him a worse doctor, but he would always choose Cuddy over medicine.

Not long after Kutner's suicide, House develops severe insomnia and begins to hallucinate, seeing visions of Amber. These visions are extremely vivid and allow House a direct line to his own sub-conscious. However, House is soon carrying out actual conversations with Amber to the point where he uses a Bluetooth Headset while at the Hospital so it does not appear he's talking to himself.

A tiny house is one that's usually 500sqft\48sqm in size and typically built on a trailer or barge and thus portable. Tiny houses can also be built on smaller versions of conventional foundations. In many very poor countries, a lot of people live crowded in houses with only one room. They often have to share a toilet with many other families, and have to do the cooking outside.

In one episode, his best friend Dr. Wilson states that House could have Asperger's Syndrome, but later tells House that he only wishes he had Asperger's so he could get away with more in life. This is shown when he sometimes tries to diagnose patients after they're dead, such as in the episode "97 Seconds". However, there have been more than one occasion in which he put at risk his career, freedom and sometimes even his life to save a patient, leaving open how much he doesn't care about his patients' lives. With his medical license on the line, House is desperate to get Darryl Nolan, his psychiatrist, to approve his return to practice. However, Dr. Nolan is just as desperate to get House to deal with his mental health issues. Eventually, House starts to trust Dr. Nolan and starts to improve enough to be released.

The sixth season of House premiered on September 21, 2009 with a special two-hour episode and ended on May 17, 2010. In 2012, after a year since House crashed his car into Cuddy's home, he serves his time behind bars at the East New Jersey Correctional Facility under the close watch of the prison warden. However, he seems to have been sentenced unnecessarily hard for a first offense. House states he is going to research dark matter, citing galactic rotation and detection, if he leaves medicine.

Upon meeting the family, House begins a bet to determine whether they are his biological parents. After Dan exhibits more symptoms, including a myoclonic twitch and a blocked blood vessel, House diagnoses Dan. Dan suffers from an auditory hallucination during a procedure, however, ruling out House's diagnosis.

After initially thinking of leaving diagnostic medicine to relieve his stress, House finds that medical mysteries are the only good way to deal with his pain and he starts trying to get his job back from Foreman, who has replaced him in the meantime. After getting his position back, he manages to convince Chase to stay on his team full-time and manages to hook back Taub and Hadley (Thirteen) as well. However, once Chase admits to Cameron his complicity in the death of a mass-murdering African dictator, she won't be wooed back and leaves House, her husband Chase, and PPTH. House describes himself as "a board-certified diagnostician with a double specialty of infectious disease and nephrology". Dr. James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard), House's one true friend, is the head of the Department of Oncology. Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein), an endocrinologist, is House's boss, as she is the hospital's dean of medicine and chief administrator.

A house is sometimes joined to other houses at the sides to make a "terrace" or "row house" (a connected row of houses). With things back to normal, Cameron starts to let her feelings for House become known, but it is for no avail. She thinks he is totally unfeeling until House's ex-girlfriend Stacy Warner shows up, begging House to treat her husband. House successfully does so and finds himself in a position of letting his ex-girlfriend work at the hospital. The series House (also known as House, M.D.) began its first season on November 16, 2004 in the United States and was picked up for a full run of 22 episodes. While Jacobson and Wilde play central characters (as did Penn), they did not receive star billing until Season 7.

Walter Cofield, MD, was the doctor assigned by Eric Foreman to investigate the incident involving the injury of Robert Chase in the Season 8 episode Nobody's Fault. When purchasing a new house , the buyer has different legal protection than when buying other products. New houses in the UK are covered by a National House Building Council guarantee. In many places the word cottage is used to mean a small old-fashioned house. In the United States the word cottage is often used to mean a small holiday home. In some countries such as the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand many families live in a "detached house" which is separate from other buildings and surrounded by its own yard, but is close enough to town to have shops, good transport and entertainment nearby. In many other countries, including most of Europe, owning a house like this is something that only the richer families can afford, and is just a dream for most people. A big building with many levels and apartments is called "a block of flats" (British) or an apartment building.

Work continues normally until Foreman, fearing that he's becoming too much like House, decides he wants to leave the hospital for good. Despite Cuddy and Wilson imploring House to get Foreman to stay, House instead fires Chase for no reason and then Cameron decides to quit as well, leaving House without a team to help him. However, when Cameron realizes Chase will soon be out of her life, she quickly changes her tune and shows up on his doorstep. He was cast for the role after having previously worked with House's creator David Shore on the CBS show Hack. With his ex gone, House's leg pain greatly increases and Wilson hopes that it means nerve regeneration, but really it is because he misses Stacy.

Thankfully, she soon learns that her HIV tests were negative and that sleeping with Chase and taking Ecstacy were big mistakes. By Season 8, during his time in prison, House's hair has grown long and he eventually shaves it off at the beginning of the Season 8 episode, Charity Case. At the beginning of Season 6, House gets his head shaved or in a buzz cut that remains there for the rest of the season although it begins growing back by the end of Season 6 and through Season 7.
